Sprouting Tips: After covering the grains to begin to soak time--give them a little stir so that the seeds have even water contact. Sprout out of direct sunlight--a moderate temperature of 70 degrees is best. The soaked seeds (6-10 hours) are alive at this point. One expert recommends rinsing and draining every 8-12 hours for one to three times. They say the sprouts are ready 8-12 hours after the final rinse but to be sure to drain them as thoroughly as possible after the final rinse. The object being to lessen the moisture on the surface of the sprouts--they say they will store better in the refrigeratro if they are dry to the touch. They can be stored in a plastic bag or closed container.
